Many of our attorneys spent years working with the Icon of Intellectual Property Law, Raymond P. Niro. Ray was a nationally known patent litigator for more than 40 years having tried hundreds of cases. He brought abundant charisma to his life’s passion of representing inventors in battles against giant corporations. He was involved in trials and settlements that totaled over $1 billion. Ray had a passion for teaching patent law and trial advocacy to students and young attorneys, and endowed the Raymond P. Niro Professorship in Intellectual Property Law at the DePaul University College of Law. Just prior to his death,
Ray was named an Icon of Intellectual Property by the National Law Journal. Ray's passing was mourned by many, including IPWatchdog and the Wall Street Journal.
